About Us

Charis Wellness Ministries is a Holy Spirit-filled ministry with a prophetic focus, helping individuals embrace their authority and fulfill their destinies. Their passion is to liberate those who are held captive, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide them in freeing people from the bondage imposed by the enemy, following the example of Jesus in the Gospels.

Johan and Ester le Roux are the founders and senior pastors of Charis Wellness Ministries, with a powerful anointing in deliverance and healing as the main focus of the Ministry. They also equip people in the Word through teaching and workshops.

Based in the Helderberg, Western Cape (South Africa), they minister to individuals and groups wherever there is a need. Their primary source of training comes from the Holy Spirit, who serves as their Teacher, and from studying the Word of God. Johan and Ester both holds a Bachelors Degree in Ministry, a Diploma in Supernatural Ministry, and are ordained Pastors.

Lauren Tredoux joined the team as Worship leader and leads the Worship Alive sessions on Friday evenings. She holds a Diploma in Ministry and has served as a Youth Pastor and Worship Leader for various Ministries. Chanda Chabula joined the team with a focus on African witchcraft, ancestral spirits and spirit spouses. She holds a Diploma in Ministry.

As a Deliverance ministry, they also prioritize dismantling spiritual strongholds and aiding in inner healing. They provide support in overcoming emotional wounds caused by trauma or generational curses. Like the disciples of Jesus Christ, their deliverance ministers understand that demons are subject to them in the name and authority of Jesus. They operate in the power and authority of Jesus Christ to lead individuals into His truth and facilitate their liberation.

Johan, Ester, and Lauren work with abused and traumatized children, providing support at schools in Sir Lowrys Pass Village. They have also begun assisting children with counseling sessions at Macassar Primary School.  Many of these children come from households without parental figures and are being cared for by relatives or in foster homes.
